English for Business (Foundation) is a 24 week course that focuses on helping students to familiarize themselves with the language of business in a variety of contexts. This intensive course will enable students to gain a firm foundation in acquiring the knowledge, theory, business vocabulary and public speaking skills to become more fluent and confident in the workplace.
After 12 weeks of full time courses, students will proceed to fulfill their Work Experience component (12 weeks) of the program.
Upon completion of the entire course, it opens students to opportunities in entry level positions such as Administration Assistant, Front Desk Clerk, Marketing Assistant and many more across a wide range of industries in Canada

Students can access online Market Leader resources from the computer lab.
672 hours, 3 months in-class instruction (336 hours) with 3 months work experience (336 hours). Students must complete classes before work experience. For work experience, students are responsible to cover the costs associated with accommodation/transport/etc.

Learning Objectives/Outcomes - Upon completion of this program the successful student will have reliably demonstrated the ability to:
Grades are composed of 4 elements: Presentations (50%), Tests and Quizzes (20%), Class Participation (20%) and Attendance (10%).
Attendance Expectations - Students will maintain a minimum of 80% attendance.
Students must achieve a minimum of 70% and successfully complete their Work Experience. Students must also maintain a minimum of 80% attendance throughout the duration of the program and are expected to complete all exams, quizzes and assignments, as well as participate in all discussions and activities.
