Local Hostels

There are many hostels in Downtown Vancouver that are affordable and close to Lions Gate Career College.  Please keep the following advice in mind when you are looking for a hostel to stay at.

Just because the hostel is cheap, doesn’t mean that it is going to be pleasant to stay at. The majority of Vancouver is pretty safe for travelers. However, it is advised that you DO NOT look for accommodation in the Eastside of Downtown Vancouver (especially along East Hastings street).

If a hostel or very cheap hotel sits on Cambie, Cordova, Hastings, Main, Pender, or Powell streets, it’s most likely in this area.
